Nepal: An early Royal letter with Royal Seal on top in Red. As being written in a language similar to Devnagari (Sanskrit / Hindi), may be Nepalese language, I could partially read this letter. The letter starts with salutation to some Maharajadhiraj (King) but name is not mentioned or I could not read. The letter is addressed to Bhopal, India and giving details of an account of Rs.50 for Rice. At the end of the letter date in Samvat / Sambat is written – 1895 Baisakh / Vaishakh (Name of the Month according to the Hindu Calander) Sud (Full moon fortnight) 10th i.e. year 1839. There are four different names written on back of the letter, I believe that these are names of the carriers of this letter. The letter is written on native hand made paper.
